Amazon Workers Fight Back: Mass Call for Pregnancy Justice

Every year, October 15 is recognized as Pregnancy Loss Awareness Day—a day to honor the grief of families who have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or young child. This year, we are marking that day by hearing from current and former employees at Amazon who have experienced pregnancy loss due to Amazon’s mistreatment and abuse of pregnant workers.

During this mass call, you will hear from Amazon workers who have experienced pregnancy loss, and from labor champions, pregnancy justice campaign leaders, and special guests who have successfully fought to hold employers accountable to pregnancy accommodations through collective action.

Amazon is the second largest private employer in the US—yet over 2,000 pregnant workers’ stories collected by Warehouse Life describe a pervasive pattern of Amazon delaying and denying pregnant workers accommodations protected by federal law and retaliating against workers who fight back.

This is a moment to bear witness, build a worker-led coalition, and organize. Join us.
