Mothers deserve to be with their families on Mothers’ Day. It’s that time of year again, we are preparing for our 2023 DMV Black Mama Bailout week of action and this year HWD will be hosting a skate party for our DMV Black mamas and we need you! Without (y)our support this Mother’s Day, many mothers could languish in cages, separated from their families and loved ones simply because they cannot afford bail!

Join us for this skate party fundraiser so we can bailout as many Black mamas in the DMV! We hope to raise at least $30,000 in the next few weeks to support Black birth mothers, trans mothers, and other femmes who parent and are entangled in the criminal legal system.
