Join Montgomery County DSA's Palestine Solidarity Working Group for a special screening of "The Encampments," featuring a Q&A with director and fellow DSA member Kei Pritsker.
"The Encampments" is a documentary film released in 2025. From the film's website: "'The Encampments' offers an urgent, intimate portrait of America’s student movement, ignited at Columbia University as students protested their universities’ ties to the war on Gaza. Their actions sparked a nationwide uprising, with encampments spreading across hundreds of campuses. Featuring detained activist Mahmoud Khalil, alongside professors, whistleblowers, and organizers, the film captures the deeper stakes of a historic moment that continues to reverberate across the globe."
The film screening will be hybrid, with a Zoom option available upon request. Please RSVP to receive the in-person location as well as the Zoom link. We look forward to sparking discussion about how those of us in Montgomery County can support organizing for human rights, justice, and liberation both on and off our campuses, from Gaza to the West Bank and beyond.
