Rally for America's Workforce: PAWA to the People

  • Upper Senate Park 200 New Jersey Avenue Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

It's time to rally for PAWA!

In March, the Trump Administration signed an executive order to end collective bargaining for 85% of the unionized federal workforce. This amounted to more than 1 million workers losing union rights, making Trump the single biggest union buster in American history. The Protect America’s Workforce Act (PAWA) would restore these union rights by voiding the March executive order and requiring the Administration to abide by collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) for the length of their stated terms.

PAWA passed the House on a *bipartisan* vote on December 11. We have a real chance of getting this bill passed through the Senate, and this rally will help us get it done! Confirmed speakers to date include House Reps. Debbie Dingell, Donald Norcross, and Rashida Tlaib; NFFE President Randy Erwin; AFGE National Vice President Ottis Johnson; and federal union leaders and rank-and-file members. The list of sponsors is in development and includes the FUN DMV Hub, Federal Unionists Network, National Nurses United, IFPTE, NFFE, NTEU, AFGE District 14, AFT, Free DC, Coalition of Labor Union Women DC chapter, and 50501 DC.
