Testify at the PSC Performance Oversight Hearing!
Are your utility bills higher than ever? Tired of smelling gas on the street? Wondering why your street is getting torn up yet again by Washington Gas? The DC Council needs to hear from YOU!
Every year, every DC government agency has a “performance oversight hearing” which you can think of as the agency’s annual performance evaluation with their boss. In other words, these public hearings are our chance to tell our Councilmembers about what we think of our government! And on Friday, February 27th, it’s time for us to deliver our failing grade to DC’s utility regulator – the Public Service Commission – for skyrocketing bills.
And this year is more important than ever! Over the last four years Chairman Thompson and Commissioner Trabue have approved nearly $400 million in increased utility bills. And now they are both up for reappointment this year. We think enough is enough, and it’s time for new leaders and lower bills. Learn more about our campaign here.
