One Year of Occupation: Justice for Julian Bailey

  • Near Judiciary Square - location shared upon RSVP (map)

DC has been under a hostile military occupation for nearly an entire year, and for 11 days in August we are telling the story of the ways Trump’s occupation has hurt our communities.

August 1: “Justice for Julian Bailey”
In February, U.S. Marshals shot and killed Julian Bailey in the Mayfair neighborhood of Ward 7. Julian was a father, a son, and a beloved community member and to this day there has been no explanation of why these federal agents responded to a local 911 call or why they used deadly force. The U.S. Marshal Service is part of Trump's "DC Safe and Beautiful Task Force," which has led the occupation of DC since August 11, 2025.

On Saturday August 1, join us to demand #JusticeForJulian as part of our One Year of DC’s Occupation storytelling and action series. Register for event location and additional details.
