What is CopWatch?

The foundations of our self-defense organizing must first and foremost be about building community.

We understand CopWatch as collectives that focus on monitoring the police and other law enforcement agencies operating in our communities, documenting their activities, and when necessary, intervening to prevent state abuses and repression.*

We CopWatch to build and empower community, to be in solidarity with members experiencing police harassment and violence, and to shift the power away from police.
