On Wednesday, June 7, the House Oversight Committee will hold another hearing about DC —  this time about our local elections.

DC residents should be the ones who decide how to run our local elections, not members of Congress who have never been to our communities. We expect conservatives will attack our local democracy in ways that are racist, xenophobic, and seek to hoard power. So Hands Off DC is showing up.

Join us on Wednesday morning to say loudly and clearly #HandsOffDC. Meet us at 9:00am at Lutheran Church of the Reformation (212 East Capitol St NE). After a brief orientation, we'll walk over to the Capitol Visitors Center together. We expect to be done by 10:00am, in time for anyone who is interested to go into the Capitol Visitor Center to attend the hearing.
