BSA's Orientation

  • Shaw Library 1630 7th Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

Black Swan Academy is a DC-based nonprofit that focuses on empowering Black youth voices (we work with 6th-12th grade), doing that through community organizing, activism, advocacy, mutual aid, political education, and much more! We have many opportunities for youth to learn leadership skills, gain resources, fill community service hour needs, get paid for public speaking, and create community with peers.

To join Black Swan Academy, there are several options for membership and we'll talk all about them in our Orientation. Our Orientation is the REQUIRED step of getting into membership. Orientation will allow you to:

- Get Prepared for Membership so you can make an active change

- Learn who's your Lead

- Upcoming Events you can join and get paid for

- Get paid $10 for your time (ONLY YOUTH)
